The CAPEB, IRIS-ST and Kiloutou renew their partnership to meet the challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s craftsmen

FranceStrategy and Finance The CAPEB, IRIS-ST and Kiloutou renew their partnership to meet the challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s craftsmen

The Confédération de l’Artisanat et des Petites Entreprises du Bâtiment (CAPEB), the Institut de Recherche sur la Santé et la Sécurité au Travail (IRIS-ST) and Kiloutou, Europe’s 3rd largest rental company and a major player in equipment rental in France, are today renewing a partnership that began more than ten years ago. This agreement aims to continue the joint development of products and services adapted to the performance of craftsmen, to enhance the value of the craft trades and to implement more responsible worksites, by offering solutions in terms of prevention, health and safety, but also to reduce CO2 emissions.

Access to more environmentally friendly equipment for safety and the environment

Within the framework of this partnership, the CAPEB, IRIS-ST and Kiloutou are committed to testing, raising awareness and offering craftsmen a range of solutions that meet new environmental requirements and prevent occupational risks.

By offering alternative energy equipment, particularly electric equipment, which emits less vibration, fine particles, CO2 or noise pollution, Kiloutou is responding to a threefold challenge: health (RSI, lung diseases, etc.), acceptance of the work site (confined spaces, city centres, EPZs) and, more generally, preservation of the planet.

Helping to make the craft industry more attractive to young people

Aware of the recruitment challenges in the craft sector, the CAPEB and Kiloutou will share the various levers of attractiveness with the 60,000 member companies of the CAPEB.

The transmission of skills is part of the DNA of craft building companies. Kiloutou, through its training offers (eco-driving, environment, safety and more recently CACES®) actively participates in increasing the skills of today’s and tomorrow’s craftsmen.
The digital revolution and the development and acceleration of means of communication are an integral part of the daily life of craftsmen. This injunction has led Kiloutou to rethink and streamline the customer experience on its website, in particular by allowing real-time display of the availability of equipment in each of its branches and the rates negotiated within the framework of this agreement.

“The work carried out with Kiloutou is entirely for the benefit of the daily life of building craftsmen and their safety. Kiloutou has the experience and expertise to meet the specific needs of our companies and to support craftsmen in their activities as closely as possible. This professional proximity is coupled with a territorial proximity to which the CAPEB is particularly attached.”

Jean-Christophe Repon, President of the CAPEB

“The continuation of our partnership with the CAPEB is proof of the trust that building professionals place in us and confirms our commitment to their performance and safety. Thanks to the most comprehensive range of equipment on the market and the associated services, our 6,000 expert team members in France are able to constantly adapt to the unique needs and constraints of their work sites.”

Pierre Knoché, Managing Director of Kiloutou France

“Throughout the year, we distribute tools and technical documents to raise awareness among craftsmen of the risks involved in their trade. With a range of equipment and training courses, a strong safety culture and a focus on the new needs and uses of craftsmen, a player like Kiloutou enables us to strengthen our prevention role.”
