The Kiloutou Group has just acquired AKMO, a company specialising in the rental of modular spaces located in Villeneuve-le-Roi in the Paris region, and is thus positioning itself in this new speciality which is very complementary to its current activities.
This company, created in 1991 and managed by Gilles Soreau, offers complete solutions to meet the temporary or permanent needs of professionals in all sectors: modular offices, prefabricated buildings, storage containers, portable toilets, etc. It operates a branch with 23 teammates and has a fleet of more than 2,000 rental units, including recent and reconditioned modular spaces, containers and staircases. It is recognised for the quality of its services and its professionalism, which has enabled it to build up a loyal clientele of independent tradesmen, SMEs and major national accounts.
This acquisition will allow Kiloutou to enter the modular construction rental market and thus enrich its service offer to its customers. Kiloutou will be able to intervene upstream on construction sites, which will facilitate the promotion of its various product families. Kiloutou intends to rely on the experience and know-how of Gilles Soreau, who will continue to manage the entity, and AKMO’s teams to pursue the development of the business and develop its own expertise in this field.
“This new acquisition represents an important step forward in Kiloutou’s development and diversification. It allows us to continue our growth through a positioning in a new business and reinforces our multi-specialist strategy. Our objective is to accelerate our deployment in this speciality through organic growth, branch openings and acquisitions: we want to support our customers in this market and take full advantage of the strong complementarities with our current product range.”
Xavier du Boÿs, Chairman and CEO of the Kiloutou Group
“I am delighted that the Kiloutou Group has taken over AKMO, which will enable the company to continue its development by providing it with additional resources and means. I personally believe in this project and I have decided to actively participate in it by continuing the adventure within the Kiloutou Group.”
Gilles Soreau, Chairman of AKMO
For the Kiloutou Group, this transaction is part of its ongoing active development dynamic, with steady organic growth and continued external growth following, in particular, the acquisitions made in 2014 of Alain Location (April), Nacelle 42 (July) and Dariche Location (October) in France and EWPA (May) and Tytanium (December) in Poland.
