Following the complete overhaul of its kiloutou.fr website at the beginning of 2023, the group is unveiling an enhanced and increasingly personalised range of services for its MyKiloutou customer area. The aim is to make daily life easier for customers by giving them access to a range of information to help them manage their various projects and rentals more independently. With these new functions, all co-developed with its customers and digital ambassadors in the branches, Kiloutou is confirming its position as a forerunner in the digitalisation of the equipment rental sector in France, by offering a perfectly fluid experience between the digital experience and the in-branch experience, designed to complement each other and support customers as closely as possible to their needs, at all times.
MyKiloutou: a tailor-made customer area for managing your rentals independently
Until now, the MyKiloutou customer area has enabled customers to find all the information they need about their rentals at the click of a button: contracts and pricing agreements, quotes, invoices, current bookings and technical documentation. The new offering, unveiled this winter, goes even further, with innovative functions designed to save customers time and give them greater autonomy, by giving them the chance to break away from agency hours. They can now, at any time :
- Have delivery information for their equipment
- Request the return of equipment and/or extend a rental period
- Submit an order form
- Access the carbon footprint of rented equipment
The platform also integrates data from equipment telematics, much of which is updated in real time in the MyKiloutou space. Sharing this data creates a transparent relationship between customers and Kiloutou, who benefit from the same level of information as the teammates in the branches. In concrete terms, this data, which is accessible for all telematic equipment rentals, allows customers to better manage their rentals, thanks to access to :
- Equipment usage history (total time used per day), for better management
- Geolocation of equipment in real time, for greater safety and efficiency.
- Usage alerts can be issued if the customer does not use the rented equipment for at least 3 working days. The customer is then alerted by Kiloutou, who will offer to terminate the contract for this machine if they so wish. In this way, customers can adjust their contract according to their actual use, limiting unnecessary expenditure.

An interface and services co-constructed to meet users’ needs as closely as possible
All the changes available on Kiloutou.fr and on the MyKiloutou space have been developed by a working group made up of Kiloutou’s digital and IT teams, digital ambassadors (volunteers from the network) and customers. In this way, Kiloutou ensures that it develops high-performance tools that are perfectly adapted to the varied activities and uses of its customers. This involvement demonstrates Kiloutou’s desire to offer its customers services that are tailored to their needs on a day-to-day basis.
