The on-site solution to counteract the weight of tools
Kiloutou continues to innovate in the rental market, adding a new appliance to its Kare range dedicated to accident prevention, safety and ergonomics at work. The Zero Gravity Arm, otherwise known as the ZeroG Arm, helps avoid musculoskeletal problems by counteracting the weight (up to 15 kg) of the tools used by operators on their premises or construction sites.
An appliance suitable for access platforms
This is currently the only solution on the market to be approved for use on access platforms (the manufacturers Haulotte and Manitou have already approved it for some of their models). And if no raised access is required on site, it can be supplied with a prop specially developed for working from ground level, for similar use and fast and easy installation.
100% mechanical and requiring no energy input, it can be used freely in any work site environment with no need for outlets or cables.
Its work envelope covers a space extending up to 2.5 m horizontally (1.25 to the left and 1.25 m to the right) and 1.4 m vertically.
The strap-based universal tool connection system is compatible with all brands and models of tools on the market (screwdrivers, breakers, punchers, etc. up to 15 kg).
A comprehensive approach to supporting users
To harness its safety and ergonomics expertise, Kiloutou has trained key technical and commercial experts within its teams in a practical and theoretical framework specially tailored to the Kare range. These modules can be adapted to any occupation and their aim is to boost employees’ skills so they can support businesses throughout their project:
Initially, Kare Experts work with customers to identify their needs and the methods they can adopt to make their premises or work site safer.
Technical teams then take care of installation and configuration. Afterward, a follow-up session is organised to promote user buy-in and rework the equipment where necessary, to make it suitable for new situations and further enhance its performance. Kiloutou supports its customers right through to the feedback stage, for which tools have been developed in collaboration with OPPBTP.
Kare: a complete range dedicated to accident prevention, safety and ergonomics
Designed by the American firm Ekso Bionic and distributed in France by Azairis, the ZeroG Arm is a welcome addition to Kiloutou’s Kare range. For many years, the Group has worked closely with companies specialised in implementing accident prevention, safety and ergonomic solutions suitable for use in building, civil engineering and industry.
The Ergoskeleton
Light (2.3 kg), flexible and compact, the Ergoskeleton reduces the effort exerted by the user’s arms, helping to reduce muscle fatigue and prevent musculoskeletal complaints, especially in the shoulders. It can be used with or without tools in situations requiring repetitive movements or static positions, as soon as the arms are raised above chest height.
Its ultra-intuitive adjustments are simple and quick to make. It goes on as easily as a harness and fits all body shapes. It allows the operator great freedom of movement and ample comfort.

The Laser Jig
The Laser Jig is designed as a complement to conventional marking-out for surveying potentially hazardous areas, (near electrical lines, sensitive structures, quaysides or rail lines, for example). Its laser scanner (LIDAR) allows non-physical horizontal or vertical marking-out, with visible and audible detection alerts. These can also be transmitted to reporting boxes fitted to machinery and vehicles to enable them to move around safely.
The system sweeps a radius of up to 30 m in a 270-degree arc. Four survey zones can be programmed to monitor changes to the site. The invisible infrared beam generated is effective both day and night.

The machine-pedestrian detection system
Based on shared vigilance, this system simultaneously alerts the driver and the pedestrian worker if the latter enters the designated hazard zone around the machine.
The pedestrian worker is equipped with an RFID tag and connected hi-visibility jacket, and benefits from three different alerts: visual, audible and vibrating. A visual and audible alert is triggered in the cab to warn the driver, and on the outside of the machine to warn people nearby.
The detection antennas are resistant to damp, cold (-30 °C), heat (+70 °C) and dirt for optimal operation in all circumstances, including when working at night or in reduced visibility (in tunnels, underground, etc.).
