FranceAcquisitions

The Kiloutou Group has just signed the acquisition of C.A.L. (Compagnie Atlantique de Location), a company specialising in the supply of temporary energy and pumping solutions in the South West of France. This operation will enable Kiloutou to enhance its service offering by positioning itself in this new speciality that complements its current activities.

C.A.L. is a key player in the South West of France in the rental of electric generators and pumps, with a network of 5 branches and a workforce of over 40 people. The company has a fleet of nearly 800 machines and accessories (electric generators up to 1000 KVA and pumps up to 1200 m3 /h) which it makes available to a professional clientele made up of energy specialists (in particular ERDF) and players in the industry and construction sectors.

This acquisition will enable Kiloutou to complete the offer of its Specialities Division by proposing high value-added solutions in the supply of temporary energy and pumping (equipment rental, installation, on-call services and support during services, etc.). Kiloutou’s ambition is to become one of the leaders in this market on a national level in order to support its customers in this specialty and to benefit fully from the strong complementarities with its current product range. Kiloutou intends to draw on the experience and know-how of the C.A.L. teams, who will retain a large degree of autonomy in order to accelerate development in this market through internal growth, branch openings and acquisitions.

“We had announced Kiloutou’s intention to continue the deployment of its Specialities portfolio in France, following on from the developments already made in the events and modular spaces markets: we are pleased to do so in the energy and pumps market thanks to the acquisition of a high-quality company. It is fully in line with Kiloutou’s multi-specialist strategy, as it contributes to enriching our generalist rental offer with increasingly specialised solutions and expertise, while enabling us to diversify our customer base beyond the construction market alone.”
Xavier du Boÿs, Chairman and CEO of the Kiloutou Group

“I am delighted with the acquisition of C.A.L. by the Kiloutou Group. The proposed project was an essential element in my decision to sell and I am convinced that this alliance will enable the company to accelerate its development in the continuity of a history of more than 40 years initiated by my father. I am confident in the ability of the teams of both companies to make this merger a real success.”
Quitterie Tauzia-Massart, President and majority shareholder of C.A.L.
