Kiloutou has just acquired AltéAd’s Access activities (work plateform rental). These activities include the companies Sime, Le Gai Matelot Location and the Revel Group’s fleet of work platforms. Together they represent a fleet of 450 work platforms and forklifts.
Sime is a recognised player in the work platform sector in the Champagne and Bourgogne regions, with 5 branches located in Reims, Troyes, Auxerre, Montereau and Dijon. It employs 26 people. This specialist in access equipment is appreciated for its quality of service and in particular has first-rate know-how in spider plateforms.
Le Gai Matelot Location is active in Bretagne, from à branche located in Bénodet.
Revel Group is present in the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region.
A leading group in industrial services (specialised transport, lifting/handling, transfer and industrial maintenance), AltéAd had inherited this access platform rental business through the many acquisitions it had made in the lifting/handling sector over the last ten years. The sale of this peripheral activity is in line with the group’s strategy of focusing on its integrated offer to industries.
This transaction strengthens the Kiloutou Group’s Access division and enables it to pursue its strategic development in this business. In December 2010, Kiloutou had already acquired the access specialist Mediac’up Atlantique, which operates 750 work platforms and forklifts in western France. With nearly 6,000 work platforms and a network of 290 branches, the Kiloutou Group confirms its desire to better meet the needs of its customers.
