iMPAKT: Kiloutou Germany takes its environmental commitment to a new level!

GermanyCSR and sustainable development iMPAKT: Kiloutou Germany takes its environmental commitment to a new level!

As one of Europe’s leading equipment rental companies, the Kiloutou Group is a driving force in the sector when it comes to sustainability. Following the launch of its iMPAKT range of alternative equipment in France in 2021 and its arrival in Denmark last spring, Germany is following suit by offering its customers a range of Low Emission equipment. With this exemplary range, Kiloutou is once again demonstrating its strong commitment to protecting the environment and our natural resources.

We also see our role as showing our customers the way to ‘greener worksites’ and supporting them in this transition process.

Nils Altrogge, Managing Director of Kiloutou Germany

In response to the Paris agreements, the Kiloutou group has committed to reducing its direct CO2 emissions by 40% by 2030, mainly by taking action on transport and its buildings.

With these Low Emission and iMPAKT ranges, Kiloutou is now also focusing on its indirect emissions, mainly generated by the use of equipment by its customers. These account for around 94% of the company’s ecological footprint.

The iMPAKT and Low Emission ranges include the gradual introduction of 3,500 electric, hybrid and dual-energy vehicles in Germany over the coming months.

These include machines for earthmoving, lifting and landscaping. They also include tools such as cutters, compressors, mixers, etc. iMPAKT’s electric outdoor innovations will eventually offer an alternative to fuel-powered equipment in Kiloutou’s rental portfolio.

But the benefits are not just in terms of carbon emissions. The equipment also significantly reduces noise and vibrations, and cuts fine-particle emissions. In short, an improvement in the health of users and local residents.

From theory to practice

As part of the launch of the iMPAKT and Low Emission ranges, Kiloutou does more than just provide the equipment. At the request of customers, the emphasis is on advice, with specially trained teammates accompanying customers to their worksites to help them get to grips with the new equipment.
