Alternative utility vehicles: Kiloutou and Ellectramobilys test a 100% electric tipper truck

As a site performance specialist, Kiloutou decided to connect with innovative companies in order to accelerate its R&D work for environmental transition in the sector. The Group is particularly interested in the impact of utility vehicles, one of the most CO₂-emitting equipment types. At the 2022 Mondial de l’Auto, Ellectramobilys introduces its Muses solution in a tipper truck format, currently under test at Kiloutou.

Muses is an agile and capable electric vehicle that opens up a promising prospect for co-development with kiloutou

The Muses vehicle has a range of 138 to 260 km depending on the capacity of the battery used, and a useful load of 670 kg. Its compact shape and low noise levels (75 dB) make it a capable and agile vehicle.

The model tested by Kiloutou possesses a number of advantages at this stage, including:

• A three-way tipper (full service, offering unloading to the rear, left or right).
• An extra-low loading sill and a central driving position to prevent accidents and enhance user safety.

Its great versatility opens up a whole range of co-development options in terms of bodywork and charging solutions. These potential enhancements are essential for Kiloutou, whose objective is to accelerate the development of a solution perfectly adapted to its customers’ needs.

Ellectramobilys is a supplier that goes beyond the responsible suppliers’ charter created by kiloutou

Kiloutou chose to approach Ellectramobilys because of the quality of its solution, especially in environmental terms. Its innovative design requires 40% fewer materials to manufacture, including half as much material (lithium, cobalt and manganese) in its battery, considerably reducing its impact on natural resources compared with a competing vehicle. Similarly, its energy consumption in use is half that of other electric utility vehicles. The Muses vehicle is a lever for reducing the environmental impact of construction sites and urban works.

Muses is currently assembled in france and from 2023 onward will be made entirely in france
