Over the last five years, GSV has doubled its turnover to 200 million, with CEO Dan O. Vorsholt and COO Frank Olesen at the helm. As of June 6, Frank Olesen will take over the role of CEO, with the aim of expanding GSV and continue the strong growth of the revenue in the next five years, while Dan O. Vorsholt will serve as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, supporting with ESG, digitization, and commercial development.
Since 2008, Dan O. Vorsholt has laid the foundation for the modern GSV, and for the past five years, he has collaborated in close partnership with COO Frank Olesen. In that period, GSV has consolidated itself as the largest equipment rental company in Denmark with a turnover of 200 million, going from 375 to 550 employees and with 22 locations across Denmark – and last year, was acquired by one of Europe’s largest equipment rental companies, Groupe KILOUTOU from France.
Back to the customers
The sale of GSV and the subsequent integration with Groupe KILOUTOU has been the priority for Dan O. Vorsholt, who, in the past year, has increasingly left the management and operations to COO Frank Olesen. Now, the next chapter in Dan O. Vorsholt’s GSV history is being written, and he is taking a step up as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of GSV.
GSV is one of the most modern rental companies in Europe, and Dan and Frank can be proud of that leadership position. Dan has been instrumental in the integration with Groupe KILOUTOU, but we all agree that his focus will now return to GSV’s customers and important strategic projects – especially within ESG and the continued digitization of the construction industry in Denmark, which he is also passionate about

Close collaboration behind the success
Dan O. Vorsholt himself describes the partnership with Frank Olesen as one of the reasons for GSV’s positive development in recent years – which culminated last year with the sale to KILOUTOU. In his new role, he looks forward to spending more time with GSV’s customers, engaging further in the industry, and maintaining a leading position in digital and sustainable development in the construction industry.
In Frank, we get a new CEO who knows the task and operations in detail, who sees people before machines. As a leader, he has the personality and management style to enable us as a team – and we know this will be decisive if we are to fulfill our growth ambitions. Frank and I will undoubtedly continue to have a close partnership, but I am also looking forward to my new role, where I can get closer to our customers and partners in the industry.

Unique breadth to create growth for GSV.
The new man at the helm of GSV has been COO for the past five years, and according to him, neither the task nor the new daily life that awaits as CEO is unfamiliar.
As we, in recent years, have continued to acquire and grow within Denmark and become part of a European family, I have taken over more from Dan in the day-to-day management. I understand the task, but I also know what to do to achieve our rather ambitious growth targets. We want to continue our strong growth in turnover the next five years, even though we’re facing a market that looks more difficult than the previous five. By utilizing our unique breadth, together with our customers, and strengthening our efforts on the Danish market with KILOUTOU behind us, we will achieve our growth plans.
