A year after launching its first brand slogan, “Rent, Share”, Kiloutou has brought it to life on screen. On 26 June, the Group unveiled “Simply Yellow”, its first brand film, directed by the audiovisual communications agency Tulipes & Cie.
“Simply Yellow” tells the story of a young man’s life in four scenes, punctuated by acts of sharing, all linked by Kiloutou’s signature yellow. It begins simply with a shared snack from a yellow box on the school benches, followed by a romantic encounter under a yellow umbrella. Then comes his first day at work at the rental company, and finally his own child offering a moment of togetherness during a family occasion. An intimate journey that brings to life, through images, the Group’s brand identity launched a year earlier.
A model that stands out
Beyond the creative process, the film reflects a strong conviction rooted in the Group’s heritage. As a pioneer of the sharing economy since 1980, Kiloutou has made sharing the cornerstone of its purpose. Equipment hire is not merely a business model: over its entire life cycle, hired equipment emits up to half the carbon of owned equipment, offering a solution that is both cost-effective and environmentally responsible. This approach has been recognised by the public, as Kiloutou is now the French public’s favourite brand in its sector.
Sharing, right down to the organisation’s internal culture
This promise doesn’t stop at the screen. In the Group’s Great Place To Work survey, a friendly atmosphere emerges as the top priority for staff — a strong signal at a time when, for many, the workplace is becoming one of the last places where genuine social connections can be forged. The workplace is not just a place where work is done: it is also, and increasingly so, one of the last places where people can come together.
A system that follows this approach
“Simply Yellow” will be promoted through a social media campaign, and on 26 June, teammates in the nine countries where the Group operates were the first to watch the film simultaneously, in-house, before coming together to celebrate.
