GroupStrategy and Finance Acquisitions, diversification, digitisation… Kiloutou is forging ahead and reaffirming its ambitions for 2025-2030

During 2024, Kiloutou achieved a growth in turnover of 3% to reach 1.250 billion euros. This positive growth, despite an uncertain economic context, proves the relevance of the strategic orientations taken over the last few years. Driven by an ambitious roadmap, the Kiloutou group has set itself the objective of doubling its turnover by 2030.

‘Our model, based on the sharing economy, is proving its relevance in a world of uncertainty. Rented equipment is used two to three times more than purchased equipment, thus offering an economically advantageous and environmentally responsible solution.’

Olivier Colleau,
CEO of the Kiloutou Group

A clear and ambitious development strategy

To achieve its objectives, Kiloutou relies on several strategic levers:

  • Sustained international expansion, with the ambition of being in the top 3 in all the countries where the group is established, as evidenced by the recent acquisitions in Spain which have enabled Kiloutou to move up from 5th to 3rd place in this market.
  • Constant investment, with 200 million euros invested in new equipment.
  • The opening of new branches, with 15 planned in 2025 after 24 openings in 2024, strengthening the territorial network and customer proximity.
  • A dynamic recruitment policy, with 1,300 new employees integrated in 2024, including nearly 1,000 in France and an equivalent planned for 2025.

Diversification and innovation: promising growth drivers

In France, where the Group achieved a turnover of 771 million euros in 2024, Kiloutou is focusing on the diversification of its activities and the development of its Specialities:

  • Strengthening in the construction and energy and rail markets;
  • Strategic positioning in major infrastructure projects;
  • Expansion of its presence in industry, services and events;
  • Development of its four speciality subsidiaries.

‘Our multi-local and multi-specialist positioning allows us to be performance partners on all types of construction sites, thanks to our network, our range of equipment, the widest on the market, and the expertise of our teams.’

Pierre Knoché,
Managing Director, Kiloutou France

A dual sustainable and digital transition

Digital technology represents a major area of development for Kiloutou, with the long-term ambition of reaching 30% of activities transiting through a digital channel. E-commerce has also seen growth of 44% between 2023 and 2024. Innovation is also playing a full part in the sustainable transition of the sector.

In a world where the building and construction sector generates a significant share of global CO2 emissions, we have a particular responsibility. We cannot just follow the trend, we must be drivers of change’, explains Olivier Colleau. Kiloutou is therefore committed to reducing its direct emissions by 42% and its indirect emissions by 25% by 2030.

The success of the iMPAKT range, which has seen a 45% increase in value in one year in France, is testament to customers’ growing interest in more environmentally friendly solutions.

A relevant business model in a world in transition

Renting is proving to be a pragmatic solution in the face of economic uncertainties, as evidenced by the increase in its penetration rate, which has risen from 35% in 2009 to 52% today in France.

  • Reduction of the carbon footprint
  • Flexibility of the cost structure, avoiding the initial purchase investment
