Kiloutou continues to develop connected solutions designed to facilitate the management of rented equipment fleets, and announces the launch of its KONNECT solution. This innovative solution enables Kiloutou customers to control access to their equipment using a telematics box.
On building sites, equipment is often shared between employees of different service providers. However, this practical reality can give rise to problems, such as borrowing a machine without explicit authorisation, finding the machine moved on the site or its fuel tank or battery empty. It can also make it difficult to establish liability in the event of breakage or an accident. By listening to its customers, Kiloutou has identified the need for better control of access to equipment and has created KONNECT, a tailored solution that is unique on the market.
On sites where there is a lot of co-activity, we have noticed that equipment can be a source of tension. Konnect is a very pragmatic solution, a response to a real problem on everyday worksites. It’s particularly useful in the finishing phases of construction projects, where there are sometimes a lot of people involved!

Using a telematic box, KONNECT offers intelligent access control. Using a personal, nominative RFID card, users can unlock access to the machine, preventing unauthorised use.
KONNECT is compatible with all earthmoving, lifting and handling equipment. It is easy to install and set up by Kiloutou’s network of skilled technicians. The price is broken down as follows:
- Installation and configuration: 150€ per machine (installation on the machine and configuration of the badges according to the customer’s needs).
- Installation: €20 per card for the entire site.
The KONNECT solution is currently being deployed on 5 sites in the Hauts-de-France and Occitanie regions, where it is proving its worth. It is currently being rolled out nationwide, giving Kiloutou’s customers the flexibility to choose KONNECT as an option on their rental contracts.
