Kiloutou, Europe’s third-largest generalist equipment rental company, has plans to strengthen its position in Germany. This is the task facing Nils Altrogge, the newly appointed Managing Director of Kiloutou Germany, whose mission is to support the next phase of growth to consolidate the Group’s presence and its network in Germany.
Consolidating kiloutou’s position in germany
Kiloutou has been operating in Germany since 2016, when it acquired the Hamburg-based company Starlift. In five years, several further acquisitions have enabled the Kiloutou group to expand quickly and significantly in Europe’s second-largest equipment rental market. These investments place the Group among the market leaders in equipment rental: in Germany, the Kiloutou network consists of 14 branches with 306 teammates for a fleet of more than 7,900 appliances.
A leader in the platform access market, Kiloutou Germany has new ambitions for 2022. Following a period of consolidating and integrating the recently acquired businesses, the rental company plans to accelerate its rollout with new acquisitions and new branches to standardise its products and services across the country.
Kiloutou Germany’s growth is perfectly consistent with the spirit of its brand, which is based on the richness of its human capital, and on guaranteed high-quality service and equipment thanks to its expert teams trained to support each customer and each project.

The start of this new growth phase also marks the end of the transition period announced last year and managed by Sébastien Ferjault.
In March 2022, Nils Altrogge will succeed him as Managing Director of Kiloutou Germany.
Nils Altrogge, 46, is a graduate of the Arnhem Business School. He has spent most of his career with Jungheinrich, a world leader in lift trucks, where he held various national and international management roles in Hamburg, Munich, Cologne and Shanghai (China).
His appointment underpins the Kiloutou Group’s ambitions for the German market. Experienced and knowledgeable about the issues at national level, Nils Altrogge has been given responsibility for managing this new phase of internal and external growth for Kiloutou Germany, backed by a strong and experienced team.
“I am delighted to have joined the Kiloutou Group. During my first three months at Kiloutou, I have had the opportunity to visit our branches in Germany, getting to know our teams and learning more about our customers and our business. I met many highly motivated, highly skilled people, and I am sure that their passion and expertise will provide a solid base from which to accelerate Kiloutou’s development in Germany in the years ahead. I am immensely proud to be part of this team!”
